The Southern African Landscape is facing a severe shortage of engineering skills in Africa. This in itself is threatening Africa’s progress towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This has been earmarked as a dire issue that needs to be addressed to meet the World Federation of Engineering Organizations Estimate of the need of 2.5 million new engineers that is needed to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals to move Africa forward in a sustainable manner.
